FR Prefabricated Socks and Roll Goods

Basofil Solutions offers knitted socks for easy FR installation on foam core mattresses. The prefabricated socks are sewn on one end. They are also pre-rolled for fast, efficient and uniform application down the length of the mattress.  All fabrics are made with the premium inherent fire safety Basofil fiber and Alessandra yarn.

Alessandra socks are produced to protect the following foam mattress types:

• All Standard Residential Sizes

• Medical Mattresses

• Baby Crib Mattresses

• Custom Shaped Recreational Mattresses

Alessandra FR socks have been successfully tested on foam mattresses to meet 16 CFR 1633 Federal Open Flame Standards.  Below is a representative test performance on a commercial prototype mattress using the Alessandra sock on a 8” polyurethane/visco mattress containing 6” polyurethane/2” visco foam cores with a  100% cotton zippered non FR cover.  View photo of the final burn result by clicking on the following product:

Tubular roll goods are also available for all foam core mattresses and open width knitted fabrics are also available for quilted and top-of-the-bed applications.
